Delete your account

Delete it yourself (takes a minute)

1. Sign in to Learn Chinese with Laura, in the Android app or on the website.
2. Open My Profile → Settings → Your data & account.
3. Tap “Delete my account…”, type your username to confirm and tap “Delete forever”.

Your account is deleted straight away. You can download a copy of your data first from the same place.

Can't sign in? Ask Laura

Send a message with the topic “Account & login” and the email address or username of the account, and say you want it deleted. Laura confirms it's your account and deletes it, usually within a few days and always within 30 days.

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted at once: your account (email, username, name, password), lesson progress, exam scores and certificates, XP, streaks, red beans, ducks, passport stamps, email settings, support conversations and any HSK 2 unlock.
• Feedback you sent is kept to improve the app, but is no longer linked to you.
• Payment records held by the payment provider are kept by them as the law requires.
• Our database provider's backups may hold deleted data for a short time until they are overwritten.
